Greetings to all,
KAIST NEREC (KAIST Nuclear Nonproliferation Education and Research Center, Director Man-Sung Yim) will be hosting the 2021 Online NEREC Conference on Nuclear Nonproliferation on August 3-5. This International Conference will identify key nuclear nonproliferation challenges of our day and propose strategies to cope with them through the participation of some of the best minds of our day. The prospect of cooperative threat reduction with North Korea to identify the paths forward for North Korea’s denuclearization will also be analyzed. Whether the technological innovations of small modular nuclear reactors, a potential game changer in global nuclear power development, is conducive enough to enhance nuclear security and non-proliferation in the future will also be examined at the conference. This year’s conference also features sessions with young generation scholars for their respective contributions. The efforts of 29 NEREC International Summer Fellows and Korean Research Fellows in addressing some of the most salient nuclear nonproliferation problems of our day will also be showcased at the conference. Your interest and participation in the conference will be highly appreciated.
